Notice! The webinar will be held in Swedish.
During this webinar we present two research projects funded by STINT under the Grants for Internationalisation Research: Responsible Internationalisation call.
STINT’s call aims to create new knowledge on how higher education and research may be internationalised responsibly and sustainably. In an era of complex international relations, understanding how partnerships are built and maintained is crucial in meeting the ethical and practical challenges we face.
These projects are headed by Dr Christer Ljungwall, Chalmers University of Technology, and Dr Tommy Shih, Lund University, respectively, and will run for at least two years. The two projects investigate issues such as strategic choices in internationalisation, responsibility at higher education institutions, and maintaining the greatest possible openness in international academic collaborations even under tense geopolitical conditions. The focus is on applicable knowledge and best practices.
The webinar starts with an introduction of the call and its aims, followed by a presentation of the two research projects.
Programme:
- Introduction, Dr Andreas Göthenberg, STINT
- Backdrop to the call, Mr Albin Gaunt, STINT
- Presentation of the research projects’ background, aims, central research questions, methodology, potential results, and their practical implications for international collaboration.
- – Dr Christer Ljungwall, Chalmers University of Technology: Responsible internationalisation of research in an increasingly hostile international environment
- – Dr Tommy Shih, Lund University: Developing state-of-the-art knowledge on responsible internationalisation
- Questions and discussion
We look forward to an inspiring discussion on strengthening the ability of Swedish higher education institutions and researchers to navigate a complex international environment.
